‘Without the heart, there is no change’

What we do

‘Is there any reward for good other than good’ - Quran 55:60

At the Mahad Mustaqbal Institute we believe that relationships are the key to successfully reconstructing impacted communities. Too many well intentioned donors fail to truly hear those that they are trying to help. Without true understanding of what is needed, even the best intentions can be ineffective or even cause more harm than good.

The Mahad Mustaqbal Institute is different. We work very closely with the communities we are trying to help. We connect directly with the people who know best what their community needs. We give them the means to report the challenges they are facing, to make their voices heard and then connect them with the vital aid and support they need to improve their communities. Through precise data gathering, deep listening and a global network of aid providers, we are able to enable lasting positive change.

Our goal is simple: help people, with people.

When Noor’s home was destroyed she couldn’t turn to her friends and family for help. Their homes had been destroyed too. The perpetrators were long gone but the destruction remained. The roads were too damaged to bring in new building materials and the electricity too unreliable to support new ventures. The situation was reported to the Mahad Mustaqbal Institute who reached out to Noor. Through our structured data gathering process we were able to work with Noor to precisely document the need’s of her community and the best sequence for aid to be delivered. Noor is now back in her home, as are her neighbours.
